WS Training wins Wamitab award
A really good day today attending the Annual Wamitab Forum and meeting up with other training companies, assessors and quality managers. Some very informative presentations from the Wamitab Team and invited specialists. WS Training also won an award for 'Outstanding Commitment to Quality' as part of the 30 Year Celebration of Wamitab being established
Harp International, Pontypridd
A very interesting and informative visit to the company today, to begin a statutory qualification programme with Phil. The facility is involved in processing, replenishing and transferring gas, foam and refrigerants and is a key employer in the area. A very well managed process and plenty of good evidence of safety and environmental compliance.
Unique waste treatment at Caerphilly Council
Visited Coed Top facility today as part of candidate assessment programme to meet High Risk Tier qualification for Physical and Chemical Treatment of waste. The site uses a natural reed bed and pond filtration system to treat highways, gutters and drains waste, a very interesting and effective method of pollution management
SL Recycling Development
At SL Recycling today with Becky to add a further statutory qualification to her achiuevement as the company gears up to open another waste management facility in the area
AP Waters Construction
It is really good to be working with AP Waters again at their site near Pontypool. Demolition of Newport Housing Association garages well underway that includes the safe removal, transfer and storage of asbestos sheeting
Interesting day at Balfour Beatty, Hereford
Visited the depot in Hereford today for induction with three candidates. Interesting to see and hear about collection of highways and drains waste and how this is naturally processed and transferred
Good day at Ubico, West Oxfordshire
At the Witney Transfer Station for induction with Bob. Always good to work in partnership with Ubiso and to see the developments at this site
At Swansea CC Baling Plant and HRC
A good day today assessing for Matt's High Risk Tier statutory qualification for transfer of hazardous waste. Very productive and good to see the resale of unwanted items at their on-site Reuse Shop. Do check it out
